Dr. Rufina Yakubov is an expert in providing comprehensive hearing care for her patients. She specializes in auditory diagnosis, treatment, and management of all types of hearing losses, as well as the vital preservation of hearing. Using a personalized and customized approach, her team works with each patient, taking into account lifestyle, diet, and overall health, to formulate a long-term plan to promote optimal quality of life.
Dr. Yakubov earned her B.A. from Pace University and a Doctorate of Audiology from Salus University in Pennsylvania. A Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), she holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Yakubov has presented to University as well as community groups on various topics in audiology, including amplification, hearing loss, and vestibular disorder. On a charitable mission to South Africa, Dr. Yakubov performed mass hearing screenings and donated hundreds of hearing aids to the local community. She frequently travels to bring the newest innovations to her patients and keep abreast of the latest research and studies.
A long-time yoga and meditation practitioner, Rufina is also keenly interested in the effects exercise and mindfulness have on wellness. These benefits include improved blood flow to the cochlea and prevention of further neurotransmitter damage.
