Remote Hearing Services for Snowbirds

Remote Hearing Services for Snowbirds

It can be quite cold in the northeast part of the United States between November and April. If you’re one of our patients who enjoy traveling to warmer climates during winter, there are remote services you can take advantage of to promote healthy hearing.

Here to Hear Program

Audio Help Hearing Centers can provide most of our hearing aid services remotely. With our Here to Hear program, our expert staff will program or adjust certain hearing aids using your smartphone, depending on the manufacturer. We will also assist with changing wax filters, daily maintenance and adjusting settings.

You can schedule live video conferences with our interns, who will help you get the most from your hearing aids and teach you about assistive apps and technology. And if you need an answer to a quick question, you can send texts or emails to your audiologist.

This program makes it easy to stay connected to your hearing healthcare team, so you can address hearing aid issues from anywhere in the United States. You can also use the Here to Hear program to schedule follow-up appointments at one of our offices once you’re back in town.

Online Hearing Screenings

Consider the following questions:

  • Do you frequently ask others to speak up or repeat themselves?
  • Do you regularly turn up the volume on your TV or radio?
  • Is it difficult for you to hear conversations in noisy environments like restaurants?
  • Has your partner suggested you may have hearing loss?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, it might be time to take a hearing test. Luckily, Audio Help offers a free online hearing test that you can complete from the comfort of your home. All you’ll need is a set of headphones or speakers and a quiet place to complete the hearing evaluation.

Battery Requests

Thanks to our battery replacement service, you won’t have to worry about purchasing expensive hearing aid batteries from your local drug store.

Audio Help provides free hearing aid batteries to patients who’ve purchased hearing aids at our practice. We will ship three packages of eight batteries to you anywhere in the United States to save you time and money. There’s a $5 charge for U.S. Postage or a $10 fee for UPS shipping. We can also include a package of wax filters with your batteries for $7.

Whether you’re in Florida, Arizona or another sunny place, the staff at Audio Help Hearing Centers are available to help you. Visit our website for how-to videos or give us a call at 855-542-8346.
